Sign
language can really help end frustration in those beginning stages
of communication. You’ll be able to know what your baby
wants, and your baby will be able to tell you without crying and
fussing.
Learning sign language also helps in motor skill development and
helps children get prepared for reading. ASL, American Sign Language,
is the third most common used language in the U.S. Get your child
off to the right start! Learn to sign together!
Erica Keil, Sign2Me Presenter

I started learning sign language when I graduated high school
back in 1991. It’s been a continual learning process for
me since that time. I love the language, it’s culture
and beauty.
In part I studied ASL at the University of NE and University
of TN. I worked in the public education system as an Educational
Interpreter for over 6 years. I also had the opportunity to
attend workshops with the National Theatre of the Deaf. I have
had some great learning experiences.
I love working with children and when my daughter was born it
was only natural that I would use sign language with her. It’s
such a thrill to see your baby using signs and understanding
them.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning. I hope you’ll
come join me and learn the benefits that sign language can bring
to your family.
